Brand new was it for me when i inhabited it,
New were the places, new were the people in it,
a part of them was lost, a part didn't know it,
The part which wasn't, was the one really ecstatic,
Turned out one needed hand to hold, someone to stick
Before they were ready to give the bucket a kick.
Thought it was no one else but oneself who had to run,
On the way met a few, for few laughs, and some fun,
We played games, me a little, most of the others a lot,
They were the ones remembered, others simply forgot,
Noted were they with the others because they brought;
Brought to the table the innate flavour they got.
Some were there to make it a carnival usually,
And some to provide solace when there was agony,
Some were there because they were the glue,
Some came even when they didn't have a clue,
All I ever came to the table was a borrowed key,
When everybody was enjoying their evening tea.
---A very old first version of it---------
Some were there to make it a carnival sometimes,
And some were there to provide solace the other times,
Some were there even when they didn't have a clue,
Some were there because they were the glue,
All I brought to the table was a borrowed key,
When everybody was enjoying their evening tea.
